SUBMISSION GUIDELINES
Thank you for your interest in our LOVE Program! Please read the guidelines below carefully if you are interested in submitting a video. Before you submit, please fill out our sign-up form!

READ ALOUD
RECIPE DEMONSTRATION
- Video length must be under 10 minutes.
- Introduce yourself at the beginning of your video! ex. "Hi! My name is __ and I'm __ years old. Today I will ___."
- Seniors will watch each video, so keep content G rated and use common sense.
- Please keep all content lighthearted and avoid the following topics: death, politics, drugs, and other generally dark subjects. If we deem your video inappropriate, we reserve the right to refuse to accept it.
- If you would like to check if your content is appropriate, feel free to run it by us! Email us at [email protected]
- Make sure we can see and hear you well. Speak loudly and clearly, no backlight, etc.
- If you want to edit your video (ex. add special effects, etc), you must edit it before submitting to us. We will be sharing your video as is.
- Our current submission categories are music/dance performances, read-alouds, arts & crafts tutorials, and recipe demonstrations. However, you do not have to stick to these categories--you're welcome to submit a video that fits outside of the categories as long as it follows the rest of our guidelines. Be creative!

HOW TO SUBMIT
- Compose an email to [email protected]
- Title your email “LOVE Program Submission”
- Attach a Google Drive link to your video and send the email! Make sure the sharing permissions on your video are set to "Anyone on the internet with this link can view". Email us if you need clarification on this step.
- Fill out our Submission Form so that we can record your service hours.
- You do not need to attach a copy of your responses to your email! You only need to email us the Google Drive link to your video.
MUSIC PERFORMANCE
- Music must be in the public domain
- Can be instrumental, vocal with/without accompaniment, etc.
- If vocal, lyrics must be appropriate
- Performer must wear business casual performance attire
- Ex. colorful dress shirt with dress pants/long skirt, colorful knee or floor length dress, etc.
- Tuxedo/formal black concert attire is not required!
- Title your video “[name of piece] by [composer name]”
DANCE PERFORMANCE
- Music must be in the public domain
- Any type of dance performance is welcome!
- Costume, dance moves, music lyrics, etc. must all be appropriate
- Title your video “[song title] by [artist name]”
ARTS & CRAFTS TUTORIAL
- Any type of arts/crafts activity is welcome as long as it’s something a senior could reasonably do
- ex. bead jewelry, card making, origami, etc
- Title your video “[name of your craft]”, ex. "Origami Flower"
READ ALOUD
- Performer must read out loud an original work or a work in the public domain

RECIPE DEMONSTRATION
- The video should be of you trying a new recipe or making something that you’ve made before -- think of it as a mini cooking show!
- This video is for entertainment purposes, so don’t be afraid to be yourself!
- But please continue to use G-rated language (ex. things you would say in front of young children)
- Title your video “[recipe name]”; ex. "Chocolate Chip Cookies"
